What's in the Standard Edition?

The $79.99 Standard Edition includes the complete GTA 6 story campaign — you experience all of Jason and Lucia's journey across the state of Leonida, with nothing story-critical held back. What it leaves out are the Ultimate Edition's bonus shops, vehicles, weapons and the one extra side mission. Standard owners can upgrade to Ultimate later at any time.

What's in the Ultimate Edition?

The $99.99 Ultimate Edition adds a substantial amount of single-player content, unlocked gradually as you progress through the campaign:

5 exclusive vehicles

'95 Grotti Cheetah, Dinka Enduro, Crest Kayak, Shitzu Squalo and the Dominator Buggy.

Paradise Garage (Watson Bay)

A dedicated garage with the Dominator Buggy, a weapon locker, and a deposit point for fencing stolen goods.

5 exclusive shops

Rideout Customs, Sara's Unisex Salon, Stock 305, Electric Fang Tattoo and One-Eyed Willie's — all single-player stores.

2 exclusive side missions

The Ptt Youngin$ gang-compound raid in Southside Vice City, and Wyman's Classic Car Collection commission.

Multiple cosmetic packs

Extra outfits and customisation threaded throughout the single-player campaign.

GTA 6 pre-order bonus (both editions)

Pre-ordering either edition before November 20, 2026 unlocks the Vintage Vice City Pack— the '55 Vapid Stanier with a personal garage, Jason's Linen Suit, Lucia's Retro Dress, and a Tropical weapon pattern — plus one free month of GTA+, which adds $500,000 in-game and a library of classic Rockstar titles. Digital pre-orders can pre-load from November 12. See the full release-date countdown.

Which GTA 6 edition should you buy?

For most players, the Standard Edition is the safe choice — the core story is identical and you can upgrade later. The Ultimate Editionmakes sense for dedicated fans who want the fullest Vice City at launch: more vehicles, weapons, shops and an extra mission for a $20 premium. Since the upgrade is available any time, starting with Standard and deciding after you've played is a perfectly reasonable plan.
